I booked the Destiny Scotland Broughton Street Apartments well in advance for a night in edinburgh after the theatre. We arrived at the apartment and everything looked as expected and like the pictures online. After the show, my daughters and I were sitting in the sitting area when something on the lower ledge of the coffee table caught my daughters eye. There was an almost crumb like mess along side a toenail sat in-front of us! I immediately went on to booking.com where I booked the apartment to report this (at 11.20pm). This left us all feeling pretty disgusted and uneasy about now having to sleep in the apartment, questioning if it was even cleaned properly, thinking is the carpet clean, are the towels clean, are our beds clean?! The next day, I phoned the customer service line and reported the issue and was told to put it in an email with a picture which I had luckily taken. The owners are taking no accountability for the lack of hygiene in our apartment and claimed that it should have been reported straight away so they could rectify it. I’m not sure what rectification could have been provided at that time of night to make us feel any better other than a full decontamination. All I have been offered is a small discount on any future stays - which you can probably guess I will NOT be rushing back unless I want to stay somewhere dirty. Destiny Scotland clearly washed their hands of any customer care as soon as they took my money. Poor poor show .

Perfectly placed for sightseeing

Fabulous apartment perfectly placed to visit Edinburgh. Just a short (uphill) walk takes you to Princes Street where you can pick up the hop on hop off bus or walk to the delights Edinburgh has to offer. The well equipped apartment has everything you need for self catering and is surrounded by various eateries, though I would advise popping in to book. Parking is a little hard to find but once you're in the car is in a locked yard at the back of the property so only a few yards to carry the cases. Overall the apartment was the perfect base for a city break.

A first floor apartment was given due to hubbies breathing difficulties . We’re oldies so easy to get in and out . The space for two people is amazing . Fabulously clean apartment credit to the staff behind the scenes ! Fluffy towels which aren’t hard ..and beautiful pillows and a large comfy bed . We’ve had the best time ever . Thankyou Destiny we’ve loved our bolthole. Great pub and chippy over the road and a relatively easy walk all be it uphill to the hop on hop off buses .

Stayed here with 3 others on a girls trip. Conveniently located and a short walk to most of the tourist areas. Near a Tesco Express which made it easy for drinks etc. Apartment was really clean and modern but in a traditional building with lovely high ceilings. The apartment was fitted with the essentials needed for the stay such as washing up liquid and shower gels etc. The entry system was easy and the parking onsite although limited was great. A really great place for a long weekend in Edinburgh.

Comfortable, spacious loft accommodation [Apartment 2] located on the first floor. Generous living and kitchen area, mezzanine bedroom and bath and shower rooms. Well located and easy walking distance to the city. Would stay again and Destiny are always a very reliable and trusted brand.
